Achieving Top Of Mind Awareness In Your Market

Many brands and companies have top-of-mind awareness.


Think of cola — what brand comes to mind? Think of a search engine — what brand comes to mind? Think of famous TV shows — what show(s) come to mind?


You've already answered these in your mind, which is the entire premise of top-of-mind awareness. Think of a subject, and something is at the top of the list.


Ideally, every potential customer in your area thinks of you when they think of the product or service you offer and/or the problem you solve.

Once upon a time, I was invited to participate in a contest to determine who was the best in my field! It was a big event, and I was supposed to pitch in front of a live audience of about 500


peers. The pitch and the subject would determine who would win the grand prize.

Spoiler alert: I nailed that pitch, won the contest, and crushed the competition.


How?

By introducing the concept of CTA.


CTA stands for Call To Action, and it's by far the best way to build that coveted top-of-mind awareness.


How to Set Up a Funnel to Catch Clients


Let’s say you run a service business. It could be accounting, consulting, or any other service business.


How would you get the word out about your business?

Maybe you’d run ads? Maybe you’d put up a sign? Maybe you’d tell friends and family about the


business you started?

Maybe you'd do all of the above. That’s a great start.


Now add a CTA to that, and everything gets supercharged.


Something like: "Download your free guide to do X," or "Put your email here, and we’ll send you the best way to do Y," or "Text us today, and we’ll tell you exactly how to do Z."


Something that gives them a reason to respond. A reason to raise their hand and say, "Yes, please get in touch with me."
